The report stated that during a week, 800 grams of salt per dozen rupees 90 paise, banana 3 rupees 44 paise per dozen and milk packet Rs 13 52 paise, tea packet Rs 4 30 paise and fresh milk Rs 1 77 paise per liter.
Statistics agency said that the price of curd, sugar, basmati rice, onion also increased in recent weeks.
Similarly, the prices of 14 essential items decreased in a week, while dal masoor went down by 10 rupees 61 paise, live chicken by 10 rupees 29 paise per kg.
According to the data, a bag of 20 kg of flour became 1521 rupees 96 paisa per kilo by 30 rupees 33 paise.
Dal mash fell by Rs 6.58 paise, Moong dal by Rs. 2.84 paise per kg while chickpea dal, edible ghee, beef, garlic and eggs also got cheaper.
The Bureau of Statistics said that prices of 14 essential commodities remained stable in a week.
